« The Contribution of Harold Brown for a better Knowledge of Early Cinema » par Camille Blot-Wellens (doctorante ESTCA) – en anglais

Harold Brown, first Preservation Officer at the National Film Archive (London), where he worked between 1935 and 1984, was a pioneer of Film Preservation. At the occasion of the hundred years of his birth, we will highlight his contribution to a better knowledge and understanding of early cinema. The lecturer will also talk of Harold Brown as a source of inspiration and she will present briefly, as editor, the idea behind the new expanded edition of his seminal book: Physical Characteristics as Aids to Identification, to be published by FIAF in 2020.
